Community Engagement
Real community engagement means showing up, listening, and creating spaces where families feel genuinely connected to their schools.

01
Sunnyvale ISD Homecoming 2024
The SMS football float rolls down the homecoming parade route on its way to the annual pep rally, one moment in Sunnyvale's largest community event of the year. Each year, I oversaw communications for the entire homecoming season: games, the district-wide pep rally, coronation, the parade, and everything in between, making sure our community never missed a beat.

02
SISD Legacy Club
Twice a year, Sunnyvale invites community members 50 and better to campus for a special luncheon, an afternoon to hear about district initiatives, connect with students about their programs, and feel genuinely part of our school community. My role was full, turnkey coordination: compiling the guest list, sending invitations, arranging entertainment and swag, coordinating lunch and sponsors, and preparing the Superintendent's talking points and presentation, from start to finish.

03
Rowdy's Reunion
"Rowdy's Reunion" was an annual district-wide back-to-school festival combining essential registration services with a full community celebration, food trucks, live music, and a fireworks finale, designed to revitalize engagement in the wake of COVID-era isolation. I conceived the event and led its execution every year, turning a routine back-to-school checklist into something our community genuinely looked forward to.

04
Sunnyvale Education Foundation
As a part-time employee and liaison for the Sunnyvale Education Foundation, I supported communications efforts leading up to our annual gala, our biggest fundraiser of the year. One of my favorite results of that work is the annual "Surprise Grant Patrol," a beloved team effort that brings the joy of grant announcements straight to teachers' classrooms.

05
Elgin ISD Convocation
For Elgin ISD's annual convocation, I organized the video our staff watched during the event, along with all the graphics and publicity surrounding it. This year's theme, "Destination: Excellence," set the tone for a celebration of where our district has been and where we're headed.

06
Bond Construction Updates
I provide our community with regular, transparent updates on bond-funded construction projects, from groundbreaking to ribbon-cutting, so families can see exactly how their vote is building something real.

07
Distinguished Alumni Award
I've partnered with both the Sunnyvale and Elgin Alumni Associations, publicizing and helping facilitate their Distinguished Alumni Awards to celebrate graduates who continue to make an impact on their communities.

08
Highland Park United Methodist Church Project Mockingbird Kick-Off Event
Top-tier donors were invited for a special preview of what lay ahead for the future of Highland Park United Methodist Church, made possible by the church's $44M capital campaign. As agency liaison for the project, I helped ensure the vision felt as compelling in person as it did on paper.
